Symposium in German Language
From 26th to 28th March 2020, the Jewish Museum Hohenems is inviting you to join us in reflection and discussion on the "future of contemporary witnessing". This not only raises the question of a possible social void, but also of how to deal with memory preserved by narrative and media - when the narrators themselves can no longer take part in the process.
Opening evening: Thu 26 March 2020, 7.30 pm, Salomon Sulzer Hall
Reading and discussion by Doron Rabinovici, Vienna
Researchers from the historical, social, and Jewish sciences are asking themselves the question of how to continue the work of remembrance after the death of contemporary witnesses, the survivors of the Holocaust.
