Limmud is the celebration of Jewish diversity and learning.

We welcome people of all cultures, religions and political persuasions. This full-day event begins with brunch and closes with a vibrant and varied concert. Throughout the day, you can attend thought-provoking presentations, engage in lively discussions, participate in creative workshops, play chess with champions, and groove to live music. Sessions will be held in German or in English. The breaks provide opportunities to exchange ideas and enjoy delicious food. Limmud’s ambiance of mutual respect nurtures deeper understanding of the multifaceted Jewish life in Vienna.

Limmud (which means ‘learning’ in Hebrew) originated in the United Kingdom, where it started over 30 years ago as a small conference. Since then, the movement has grown, flourished and expanded, now embracing more than 90 Limmud communities worldwide.
