Projects like this prove that art always has an educational function: based on testimonies, historical documents and literary texts by Franz Werfel, Jura Soyfer and other writers who had to flee Nazi Germany, the interactive play “On the run” takes audiences on a journey to the past.

On a guided hike from Gargellen in the direction of Sarotlajoch, you’ll sense the fate of those people who had to experience the horror of war first-hand. The play is performed at the Hotel Madrisa, in alpine chalets and the open air. The analysis of such historical events in the heart of the majestic Rätikon mountains will certainly create vivid images in the heads of all participants.

Performance: Roland Etlinger, Katharina Grabher, Maria King, Andreas Kosek und Mark Német, Concept: Katharina Grabher, Choreography: Maria King, Regie: Andreas Kosek, Coaching during the hike and moderation: Friedrich Juen
