We get to know the “beauty pioneer” Helena Rubinstein at Museum Judenplatz and then walk with her through the Jewish Museum at Dorotheergasse 11. Naturally we meet Jewish woman and men, who consult Madame Rubinstein: a suncream for Gustav Mahler? A cleansing fluid for Hilde Spiel and Eugenie Schwarzwald here? A new aftershave for the famous cantor Salomon Sulzer? Lipstick for the operetta star Fritzi Massary? But in which color? One can be curious about Madame Rubinstein’s tips—and about a funny approach to Viennese Jewish history. In the atelier we design chic packaging for the beauty products …

The tour starts at Museum Judenplatz (Judenplatz 8, 1010 Wien) and continues at the atelier of Jewish Museum Vienna (Dorotheergasse 11), 1010 Wien.
